About Us

High school sweethearts with a love for food, Modern Family, architecture, and of course weddings.

We are a one-of-a-kind team that have a unique perspective on weddings and events. With diverse backgrounds, we look at events differently, but ultimately have the same goal; producing flawless luxury events. Our personal touch is reflected in our constant communication, our expertise in weddings and events, and our extensive vendor contacts.

A little bit about Victoria

I believe that I was always destined to be in the events world in some capacity.  As a teenager, I was involved in a service organization where I planned local and state-wide events.  I received my degree in Interior Design where I discovered a love of space planning.  My professional career began in the restaurant industry, where I honed my passion for food and wine, and then continued in hotels and hospitality, where I developed my communication skills and fell in love with wedding planning.

While I have specific training in South Asian and Fusion weddings. events of all kinds bring me joy.  I love the rush of adrenaline on the event day, a smooth flow of events, the perfection of every detail, and most importantly the endless smiles and laughter. With over 12 years of experience under my belt, I can’t wait to bring my passion to your event!

Victoria’s Fun Facts

VIVA ITALIA

My love of all things Italian stems from my time studying abroad in Florence in college. Wine, pasta (Deliziosa!), pizza (ask me about the best pizza place in Firenze), and architecture!

FAMILY

I met Dan our senior year of high school and we have been together ever since. He is an incredible husband and father who makes me laugh every single day. We have 3 kids, 2 dogs, and over 18 years of memories! We live close to my parents and my sister’s family and you’ll commonly find us around a dinner table together on Sunday nights.

CHICAGO

During college, I moved downtown and quickly realized the busy city lifestyle was perfect for me. My favorite job was working at a quaint family restaurant in the West Loop called La Sardine. I was greatly influenced by the owners and it was at that moment I knew I was meant to be in the hospitality industry. You’d commonly find Dan and I exploring new restaurants on long walks, seeing movies, and enjoying our balcony view of Lake Michigan.

A little bit about Dan

Having been self-employed in the IT industry for the last 10 years, I have trained and developed hourly and management staff to be the strongest employees and leaders they can be. Teaching them how to talk to client’s professionally, stay organized, and to focus on the details, all lessons I take very seriously. My experience developing and building a company has become my passion and I am very excited to continue that with DVS Events.

TICK TOCK

Timing is very important to me, and I am rarely ever late.

ON TOP OF SPAGHETTI…

I used to order spaghetti and meatballs anytime eating out. Simple, but so good. Though I still love the classics, Vicky and I have been able to enjoy some of the best restaurants in Chicago and we are true foodies. We love trying new places. I have also come to love cooking myself!

ASTRONOMY

Growing up I had a true fascination with astronomy. The mysteries behind everything are so interesting. Have you ever really grasped what a lightyear truly is?
